Maggie Gyllenhaal was absolute lovely on The Graham Norton Show yesterday, where she talked about her upcoming movie Hysteria, being nominated for an oscar and dancing with Madonna. But she also shared some funny stories about her father (Stephen Gyllenhaal) and shot the rumours about her having had plastic surgery to the grown. Overall a wonderful, funny and cute interview!
Also new pictures of Maggie during and after the recording of The Graham Norton Show yesterday (October 21st). Hopefully we’ll have videos tomorrow!
Finally I got some pictures of Maggie & Peter in India for the Opening of SOS Children’s Village. Maggie looks absolute stunning in these pictures and I so love her for supporting this project!
The BBC didn’t have to look far for a presenter to fill Jonathan Ross’s shoes. All it took was a quick shuffle of the schedules, cross out the word “Monday”, replace it with “Friday” and Hey Presto! The Graham Norton Show is all good to go.
We predict his move to the coveted Friday night throne will be sparkling and seamless as the new King Of Chat welcomes Charlotte Church, actress Maggie Gyllenhaal and comedian Russell Howard (whose own new series started on BBC3 last night).
The irony of the risque host being turned into the BBC’s safe pair of hands in the wake of the Sachsgate fiasco won’t be lost on Norton and we’ll be disappointed if he doesn’t milk this for a bit of comedy mileage.
At least, it should be a nice change for female guests not to be leered at.
The Graham Norton Show will air tonight, 10.35pm on BBC One.
Ashley Jensen, Sheridan Smith, Gemma Jones, Felicity Jones and Anna Chancellor are joining the cast of Tanya Wexler’s Hysteria.
The romantic comedy starring Maggie Gyllenhaal and Hugh Dancy, which starts filming in London Monday, co-stars Jonathan Pryce and Rupert Everett.
Stephen Dyer and Jonah Lisa Dyer wrote the screenplay about a Victorian doctor who created the world’s first electro-mechanical vibrator in the name of medical science.
It is being produced by Forthcoming Films’ Sarah Curtis, Informant Media’s Judy Cairo and Beachfront Films’ Tracey Becker.
Elle Driver is the international sales agent for the film and Tom Ortenberg’s One Way Out Media is repping North American rights.
Another olden goldie for you. I’ve added screen captures of Maggie in Ressurection where she has another small role and blonde hair! Thanks a bunch to Tori for making these.
I’ve added screen captures of one of Maggie’s first movie roles ever, in her fathers (Stephen Gyllenhaal) movie Shattered Mind, where she plays the tiny role of a clothes clerk. Thanks a million to Chanel for making these!
