As you may of seen, Maggie has appeared in a video that was made to bring attention to the current writers strike that is going on. Screen Guild Writers member Alan Sereboff who co-wrote with Jill Kushner the video that Maggie is featured in had this to say about the spot;
Regarding Maggie’s spot specifically, we were addressing the AMPTP’s walking out on the WGA negotiations, and the ever growing realization among us writers that we can distribute “on our own,” without the media conglomerates help. In the spot, we made the AMPTP a character “AMPAHTAPAH.”
The clip was directed by George Hickenlooper (Factory Girl) and also starred Zoe Kazan, Allyson Sereboff, and Diana Paschal. When it appeared on YouTube it received over 136,000 views, Here are some other stats for the first day it was online!
