Maggie finally got her very first Academy Awards nomination! Maggie is nominated in the category “Actress in a Supporting Role” for her fantastic performance in Crazy Heart.
Other than Maggie’s long due nomination is Jeff Bridges who’s earned himself a nomination in the category “Actor in a Leading Role” and Crazy Heart in the category “Music (Original Song)”

About fuckin’ time though. Seriously! I think she is the best actress of the 00s. To be nominated when no one expects it is hella-cool.
From great performances in classics like “Secretary”, “The Dark Knight”, and “Stranger Than Fiction” to other noteworthy roles in “Donnie Darko”, “Cecil B. Demented”, “Adaptation”, “Sherrybaby”, “The Photographer”, and “Happy Endings”. This is truly deserving. I don’t think she’ll win but to be nominated feels like a win to me.
