BIG thanks to Mariana for sending us in a video from E! News of Maggie’s Golden Globe nomination for Sherrybaby [December 14th]. She says she’s thrilled about the nomination, and Ramona is a good sleeper, but she’s used to getting up early with her - how cute!

According to the The Hollywood Reporter, The Sundance Film Festival has announced 71 short films set to screen next month, including a film starring Peter Sarsgaard and fiancee Maggie Gyllenhaal, and added two new features to its New Frontier and Special Screening sections.
Andrew Zuckerman’s “High Falls,” featuring Sarsgaard and Gyllenhaal as a man and his pregnant wife whose confessions to a best friend put their relationship in jeopardy.

Some of Hollywood’s most successful women share an unexpected byproduct of success - hairy armpits.
That was one of the lighter messages brought home at a star-studded breakfast, hosted by the Hollywood Reporter in conjunction with the publication of its 15th annual Women In Entertainment Power 100 list.
“It’s a miracle I’m here,” said keynote speaker Maria Bello, star of World Trade Centre, in describing her hectic morning as a multi-tasking mum during which she finally got around to “shaving two-week old growth” under her arms.
“I still have two-week old growth,” quipped fellow World Trade Centre star Maggie Gyllenhaal, another keynote speaker who, like Bello, earned accolades for her role in the Oliver Stone-directed drama about the September 11 attacks. Read the rest of this entry »

Congratulations to Maggie who was nominated for a Satellite Award - Best Actress for her work in Sherrybaby. She joins other nominees such as Penelope Cruz, Helen Mirren, Gretchen Moll and Dame Judy Dench.
